"Had an old stump in the back garden for years. They came out on the day they said, had it gone in about 20 mins and left the place spotless. Great lads."
"Good job on 3 conifer stumps along the back wall. Arrived a bit later than the time they gave me but they texted to let me know. Fair price, would use again."
"Our side gate is tiny and I was sure they wouldn't get in. They brought a small machine and it went straight through. Really happy, thank you!"
Real stump removal jobs. Drag the handle on any photo to see the before and after.
The tree came down years ago and the stump is still there. We grind it below the grass and rake the chippings back into the hole.
Leylandii or cypress cut down along the back wall. Every stump in the row ground out in one visit, each priced by its size.
Hedge cut to the ground but the root line is still there. We grind the full run so you can put in a fence, a wall or a new bed.

A standard grind is fine for lawn. For a patio, driveway, shed base or new tree, we grind deeper so nothing rots and sinks later.

We take the chippings away, fill the hole with clean topsoil and level it off. Throw down grass seed the same day.

Management companies, landscapers, builders and schools. Several stumps per visit, worked around your hours, invoiced.
Every garden is different, so we run two sizes of grinder and bring whichever one suits your job.

Narrow side gates, back gardens with no rear access, raised beds, and stumps tight against walls, sheds or fences. Our compact walk-behind grinder goes through a standard side gate and gets in where a big machine can't.

Large stumps, open lawns, estates and sites. Our big tracked grinder is worked by remote from a safe distance and takes out in an hour what a small machine would be at all day.

The little stump the mower keeps catching. Usually gone in under half an hour.

The stump other people tell you to leave. Send us a photo and we'll come back with a fixed price.
send a photoMeasure straight across the top of the stump at its widest point. That's your size. The price covers the machine, the operator, grinding below ground level, and raking the chippings back into the hole. There is a €100 call-out fee per visit, however many stumps we grind. All quotes are free. Several stumps on one visit are each priced by their size. If a stump turns out bigger than you booked, we tell you before we start, never after.
Our grinder is compact and goes through a standard side gate. If the only way in is through the house, tell us when you book. Stumps hard up against a wall, a shed or a footpath can be ground, but we may leave a thin edge to protect the structure. Stones, nails or wire in an old stump are common; we check before we grind.
Tape across the top at the widest point and pick the size. Not sure? Send a photo and we'll size it for you.
Choose a date online. The evening before, we text you a two-hour window. You don't need to be home if we can reach the garden.
We bring the right machine for the space: compact for side gates and tight corners, tracked for big stumps. Boards go down and the stump comes out below ground.
The chippings go back in the hole, raked through and levelled. Want it ready to seed? Add topsoil. Pay by card or cash on the day, or by card online.

If you're unsure whether we can grind it, send us a photo. We'll tell you straight, even if it's not a job for us.
Every quote is free, over the phone or from a photo. No obligation.
Three fixed sizes, measured with a tape. Bigger stumps priced from a photo. No guessing, no haggling on the doorstep.
Boards go down from the gate to the stump, so the grinder never churns up your grass.
We show up when we say we will, treat your garden with respect and leave it tidy.
It depends on how wide the stump is. Measure straight across the top at the widest point, then pick the size: up to 30 cm is €95, 30 to 50 cm is €145, 50 to 75 cm is €195. On top of that there is a €100 call-out fee per visit, however many stumps we grind. Anything over 75 cm, send us a photo with something for scale and we'll give you a fixed price.
Hedge root lines are priced from a photo too. Taking the chippings away and filling with topsoil is an add-on at €50 per metre. All quotes are free.
A standard grind takes the stump well below the soil, deep enough to lay new grass and mow over it without catching anything.
If you're putting in a patio, a driveway, a shed base or planting a new tree in the same spot, book the deep grind. We go further down and take out more of the root crown so the ground doesn't sink later as old wood rots.
Grinding turns the stump into a pile of chippings and soil. As standard we rake it back into the hole and leave the area neat. It settles over a few weeks.
If you'd rather have a clean finish, add the clear-and-topsoil option. We take the chippings away, fill the hole with topsoil and level it, ready for seed or turf.
We don't leave you with a hole. As standard we fill it back in with the chippings from the grind, rake them through and level it off neat with the ground around it.
If you want it ready to seed or turf, add topsoil for €50 per metre. We take the chippings away, fill with clean topsoil and level it.
Almost always. The grinder is compact and fits through a standard side gate. If the only access is through the house or a very narrow lane, tell us when you book and we'll confirm before the day.
Most trees won't once the stump is ground out. A few, like sycamore, willow, poplar and laurel, can send up the odd shoot from roots left in the ground. Pull them or mow over them and they give up within a season.
Yes. Grinding is the quickest, tidiest way to remove a stump. Instead of digging it out, we grind it down below the ground, roots and all near the surface, so you can lay grass or plant over it.
No. We only grind stumps and roots. Once your tree surgeon has felled the tree, we come in and take out what's left.
No. We put boards down from the gate to the stump so the machine never sits on your grass, and we sheet off nearby windows, cars and flower beds before we start.
A small stump is usually done in under half an hour. A large one can take an hour or two. Several stumps in one garden are normally finished in a single visit.
No, as long as we can get to the stump through a side gate. Leave it unlocked, mark the stump if there's more than one, and pay by card online.
